Fox by Margaret Wild

We have been reading and enjoying stories based of the theme of Friendship. Firstly, we read Fox by Margaret Wild. We used oil pastels to create our own illustration for the book and have tried to use ambitious vocabulary to write our own expanded noun phrases.

The Iron Man by Ted Hughes

We are currently reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We have drawn our own Iron Man, using different sketching pencils to create shade and tone. We have also written descriptions of the Iron Man using similes.

Computing

Y3/4 have been learning how to share and collaborate together on documents at the same time.  They have also filled in a survey, and created a survey of their own to share with others in class. 

Romans History Topic

Year 3/4 thoroughly enjoyed making Roman shields (scutums) and then enjoyed trying them out, using different formations to defend (testudo or tortoise) and to attack( a wedge formation).
