At John Cross CE Primary School, our music curriculum intends to inspire creativity, self-expression and encourages our children on their musical journeys.  We want them to enjoy learning a tuned instrument, and giving them the opportunities to experience the joy of connecting and working with others. We hope to foster a life-long love of music by exposing them to diverse musical experiences and igniting a passion for music. By listening and responding to different musical styles, finding their voices as singers and performers and as composers, it will all enable them to become confident, creative and reflective musicians.

Year 3 & 4 Ukulele performance.

With the help of Mr Raey from Lancashire music, Year 3 & 4 performed 'We will Rock You' and 'Surfin' USA' on their ukuleles for the school and parents. 

Whole school drumming workshop day

Each class had a session throughout the day, learning to use a wide selection of drums, whilst playing together to create rhythms and rythm sections.  The sound was fantastic!
