SIAMS Church school inspection

We are pleased to share our church school inspection report (SIAMS) from September this year. 

 

We feel it shows a true reflection of the Christian nature of our school, and how Christian values underpin all that we do at John Cross. 

 

Some quotes from the report:

 

'The impact of the vision and values is evident in the strong sense of unity, compassion, and trust. Pupils, staff, parents, and partners actively contribute to a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where these values are upheld. As a result, the school provides high quality learning, care and support. This means pupils and adults are able to flourish because all are included and given equal opportunity to learn and grow.'

 

'This approach is driven by the Christian vision which results in a rich, exciting, and well-balanced curriculum that supports pupils’ all round development. The environment allows pupils to demonstrate perseverance, cultivate lasting friendships, maintain hope even in adversity, and practice forgiveness. This promotes spiritual and personal growth.'

SIAMs (May 2016) Church schools inspection reported that....

'The school’s overt Christian character impacts directly on pupils’ high levels of academic progress.The school motto of ‘Believe and Achieve’ underpins pupils’ approach to learning, ensuring sustained high levels of attainment. Christian values are deeply embedded in the school’s approach and as a result pupils demonstrate high levels of perseverance and courage when tackling academic challenges.'

We have received the published SIAMs Church School Inspection report and are delighted that we have been found to be an Outstanding church school!
