Reading

Reading with and to your child is the best way you can help them with their learning.

We expect children to read at least three times a week to practise and consolidate the skills that they are being taught in school. 

We want children to enjoy their reading and enjoy listening to stories, so to help instil a love of reading we send home our 'Snuggle Up with a Book' suitcase. Inside you will find two age-appropriate storybooks, a little book of prayers, a snuggle up reading pal, a hot chocolate and biscuits along with a notebook for parent and child comments. We hope you enjoy this!  (This has currently stopped due to COVID restrictions). 

On World Book Day we came dressed as our favourite book characters and shared our favourite books with our friends. We spent the day reading for pleasure and completing book related activities.
