The Open afternoon was a great success, with proceedings getting underway with a visit from the new mayor of Wyre Council, who officially opened our new EYFS area after a picnic lunch of fish and chips, courtesy of Turner's Fish and chip shop.  Myerscough College tutors and students were also on hand to demostrate tree climbing, as well as carving some new outdoor seating for our woodland!

Many of the juniors enjoyed time away at Winmarleigh hall this week, and it was fantastic to see them take part in various activities such as climbing, raft-building, zooming down zip-wires and archery.  All of the children took part with a super attitude and were a credit to John Cross.  The weather was also great, which added to a very enjoyable few days.  See the gallery for more pictures.
